New Fan Fiction Idea #25

This isn't actually a new idea, and I don't have any intention of writing it myself, but, hey, here it is if anyone else is interested.

Working Title: "Sunset"

Fandom: Axis Powers: Hetalia

Genre Tags: Angst/General

Length: Oneshot.

Protagonist: England.

Other Main Characters: Possibly none.

Antagonist: Possibly none.

Plot: "If the sun never sets, then why is it so, so close to the horizon now?" England reflecting on the impending loss of the empire.

Setting: Outside at his home, at the appropriate time.

Point of View: First person (England).

New Fan Fiction Idea #22

I actually started writing this one but gave up during the second chapter. I could go back to it eventually.

Working Title: White Room

Fandom: Hetalia

Genre Tags: Mystery/Drama or General

Length: Multichapter

Protagonist: No one character in particular.

Other Main Characters: The main nine characters have no recollection of themselves and refer to each other by the numbers on their wristbands. In reality, the characters are the Axis and Allies (including Canada).

Antagonist: Unclear for most of the story, where most of the obstacles are machines and puzzles. They're two men, though, and they're not necessarily on a totally different side than the mains.

Setting: An indoor facility with wide rooms, thick walls, and heavily locked doors (when they're meant to be locked). Rooms with food, water, and other facilities are distributed at nearly-even intervals between the main rooms.

Plot: The main characters awaken in hospital beds arranged in a grid. Not knowing who they are, they try to figure it out and escape. They must go through a series of puzzles and physical trials before they can meet the operators at the end and realise who they are.

Point of View: Third person (omniscient).

New Fan Fiction Idea #20

This was an older idea that got a few scenes put together in my head, but I never had any idea where it was going or from whence it had come.

Working Title: Past and Future

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Length: Multichapter

Genre Tags: Adventure/Sci-Fi, maybe

Protagonists: The story follows both the Axis and Allies groups, with Italy being the main character in his section and someone else being the main in the other (I don't think I ever decided, I planned so little of that part. Probably England for symmetry).

Other Main Characters: The rest of the modern-day Axis (including Romano) and Allies, as well as Italy in the future and medieval-era England.

Antagonist: No clue whatsoever.

Plot: Something happens (quite possibly the generic plot device of England's magic exploding on everything), and suddenly the Axis finds themselves in the past, and the Allies in the future. Both groups carve out a bit of a living as they try to find their way back.

Setting: The Axis go to some sort of town in medieval England, wherever England himself would likely be at the time.
The Allies end up in the future at an undetermined location on Earth. Probably somewhere in Italy, since he shows up, quite frightened to see them as, in the new unified Earth, nation-tans aren't allowed to see each other  in order to reduce conflict. Some of the nations have altogether disappeared due to the homogenisation of the place.

Point of View: Third-person, limited to Italy and other protagonist in alternating chapters.

New Fan Fiction Idea #19

This is another old idea I suddenly remembered. I don't think I'll ever actually write it, but it's worth recording. It's a rather iffy premise, anyway.

Working Title: The Runaways

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Length: Multichapter

Genre Tags: Family/General

Protagonists: Both Alfred and Matthew (human!America and human!Canada), who start as their chibi selves but grow up during the course of the story. They're twin brothers.

Other Main Characters: Mr. Kelley, a 50-ish convenience store owner in a backwoods area. He's quite kind and has never had a wife or children.

Antagonist: Arthur (human!England), the older brother of Alfred and Matthew by a decent margin. It's unclear exactly what he did to upset the twins so much, but he's not an entirely pleasant character.

Plot: All three orphaned, the brothers try to get along in an orphanage with the twins under Arthur's authority. By seven, the twins have decided to run away, so they do so, struggling to stay undercover and alive in the streets until they cross paths with Mr. Kelley, who helps them get an education and eventually hires them in his shop.

Setting: Modern-day, probably America. Some takes place in a rather large city, while a later section is in more of a town.

Point of View: Third-person, omniscient.

New Fan Fiction Idea #18

One day I read a fan fiction with this concept, but I was iffy about how it was executed. The idea also intrigued me enough to want more than a oneshot, so why not write it myself? If I can get permission from the original author, of course. And if I can find the time.

Working Title: Eat Your Heart Out or, if I really feel like it, Can't Escape from Italy

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Length: Multichapter

Genre Tags: Horror, and either Drama or General

Protagonist: Undecided. Could be England, Japan, Cuba, or someone completely different.

Other Main Characters: See Protagonist. There may not even be any one "good guy" of focus; in my head, I've only seen movie-type clips starring different characters.

Antagonist: Insane!Italy. By the time the story starts, both his madness and his power have risen to the point he's only recognisable by appearance. Even then, it's a bit hard to see the resemblance with a bloodstained grin perhaps permanently on his face.

Plot: Completely broken after an extremely devastating war and the death of his brother, Italy turns to an old legend to prevent himself and his people from being decimated again. As the legend goes, a nation who eats the heart of another nation gains the victim's land and power. Italy, with Germany's help, first takes the heart of the nation most closely responsible for his brother's death and learns that the legend skipped over the imbalance of mind such an act caused. He continues his feast, eventually taking Germany's heart when Italy no longer needs his help, and the other nations remaining struggle to counter the new threat. With their own lives very much at stake and many wounds from the war not yet healed, it won't be an easy task.

Setting: Post-apocalyptic (or at any rate severely war-damaged) Earth, not terribly far in the future.

Point of View: Third-person of some variety.

What Would You Do (NFFI#13) Excerpt

While I may not have many solid ideas for the rest of the story, I might as well hack out the first chapter I have imagined.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Liechtenstein wasn't sure how she had gotten into this room. She couldn't remember the last time she was awake, and her current headache could have meant anything.

Clues weren't readily available around the room, either. A cavern that bellowed echoes when she scraped her feet across the tile floor, the room was made of curved metal walls that twisted to meet each other far above her head. Thin lights lined the corner where the floor met the walls, lighting the room with a harsh fluorescence that reflected weakly off everything but the dark ceiling.

It took another moment of orienting herself for Liechtenstein to realize the walls weren't entirely bare. A thin, black screen was embedded in the wall opposite where she sat, and after a moment of her peering at it it leapt into a flash of life.

At first, she didn't even understand what she was seeing. Blonde hair matted with rough rivulets of blood filled the screen in high-definition. Her hand went to her head, but her own hair was still clean, her ribbon tied neatly in its place.

A human growl boomed from the screen, and the bloodied hair shot upwards in a blur. The camera zoomed out a bit, revealing a man's head, which was streaked with blood, and his shoulders, which were tightly bound to a chair back. His teeth were clenched and his eyes squeezed shut. It looked like he was wearing Switzerland's usual outfit, although with a few rips and a lot more rumples.

The man certainly looked like Switzerland, but it couldn't have been him. Liechtenstein had somehow been captured, but Switzerland wouldn't... He wouldn't have let her be captured in the first place, but... Maybe it was Switzerland...

Someone with a dark brown glove had a fistful of Switzerland's hair, pulling his head back to face the camera, but the rest of the person was offscreen. His voice was still perfectly intelligible.

"You are the only other person who has been admitted to this complex. You will be provided with some supplies and allowed to roam the guarded hallways. We are at the end. You will not be forced to leave the room in which you now sit; however, I will reiterate that you are the only other person in this complex."

With that, the gleam of a blade flashed across the corner of the screen toward's Switzerland's midsection, and the nation let out a strangled cry, the cords in his neck bulging as every muscle visible strained. Liechtenstein didn't quite cover her mouth before a shrill gasp escaped her lips.

Grunting with every exhale, Switzerland started to relax, but shining sweat was running down his forehead, following the tracks of dried blood.

"So," the attacker finished, "try to find your big brother, if you'd like."

At "big brother," Switzerland's eyes finally flew open. Alarmed, he looked around panting until he found the camera lens.

"L-Liechtenstein?" His voice was faint, so he cleared his throat. "Stay where you are! I will get out of this, a-and I will get you out before anyone—" He cut off with a scream, and a moment later a bloodier knife flicked back across the corner of the screen. Before Switzerland could begin to recover, the television flicked off.

Liechtenstein wasn't sure how long she sat there quivering, hands clamped over her mouth like she was about to vomit. It certainly seemed like hours before a thud shook the floor, sending one of the large tiles beside her rattling loosely. She glanced at the ground to find that the tile was sinking. It only made six inches of progress before another dull thud sent the tile behind it down at the same rate. The process continued until a stair set cut across the room, descending into darkness just beyond where she sat.

Slowly getting to her feet, she peered into the gap, but she still saw nothing beyond more stairs. Switzerland must have been down there somewhere. There were no other exits, and she could see no reason the man would have lied about her being in the same complex. It could easily be a trap, but she was already trapped.

What obstacles stood between her and her brother? What were they trying to put her through? Could it possibly be worse than sitting there knowing her protector was being sliced apart?

Why would anyone do this? What could they hope to get from her? They already had Switzerland; what more could they expect from her?

Her fingers tightened around the hem of her dress.

They didn't expect anything from her. They only wanted Switzerland to give in, help them with something only a strong nation could. She was just there as a threat to him. Whoever was behind this had her captured and could do whatever they liked if Switzerland didn't agree to something. The broadcast was a jest. They knew little Liechtenstein wasn't about to plow through a war zone—she wouldn't be capable of it. She would just wait for her brother to save her like she always did, and, in the meantime, they could do whatever they wanted with her.

But they were mistaken.

Trembling silently, she pushed herself up and got to her feet. The room wobbled a bit, but she was able to straighten herself out after a minute of standing. Shoes clacking softly on the hard floor, she approached the top of the staircase and came to a stop peering down its length. From here she could see where the floor flattened out far below her, but nothing other than the same tile seemed to be down there. Anything could have been waiting.

Of course, anything could have been waiting in her current dwelling. There was no real reason not to continue forwards. A threat. But it couldn't be that terrible, could it? She had no way to tell without stepping down there. And if it was too scary—there was no guarantee she would be able to come back here, but... but she would just have to stomach it and keep going. Switzerland had been trapped long enough to take a lot of damage, so he must have needed help, and she was his only hope. Maybe not that much of one, but she had to take on that responsibility. She was the only one here—and, after everything he had done for her, she finally had a chance to save him.

She took a deep breath and stepped onto the first stair.

—

"You are the only other person who has been admitted to this complex."

Monaco watched with wide eyes as the man jerked at France's hair, which was tangled and matted so much France couldn't have had his hands free in some time.

"You will be provided with some supplies and allowed to roam the guarded hallways. We are at the end. You will not be forced to leave the room in which you now sit; however, I will reiterate that you are the only other person in this complex."

France's eyes went wider than her own when a blade thumped into his side. A few moments of struggle passed before he was able to tone his shrill scream down to halting choking sounds.

"So, try to find your brother, if you'd like."

Still struggling for breath, France eyed the camera. He mouthed something, cleared his throat with a ragged sound, and swallowed.

"It's okay," he started, smiling shakily. "Big Brother France has everything taken care of!"

Monaco frowned. He said that, but everything on his face was screaming, "Help me!"

The hostage-taker suddenly withdrew his knife, and France fell forward, his dirty hair taking up the whole screen as he wailed. The broadcast cut out.

Monaco sat still, taking deep breaths. It appeared her big brother was in a dire situation, and she was his only hope of escape. How exactly that happened when he was responsible for her protection, and her national army was smaller than her national band, she wasn't certain. But that was how it panned out, and she hardly had anything to gain from sitting in this drab room.

Walking steadily towards the stairs when they showed themselves, she hesitated, sighed, and started downwards.

Germany wasn't even conscious enough to tell Italy anything.

New Fan Fiction Idea #17

Came up with this one after reading that, on average, women can tolerate more alcohol than men.

Working Title: "The Drinking Contest"

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Length: Oneshot

Genre Tags: Humour/General

Protagonist: Germany.

Other Main Characters: None in particular. Maybe Denmark, Belgium, and/or Prussia.

Antagonist: Nyotalia Germany.

Plot: Germany and his female counterpart have a drinking contest. (Surprise, surprise.)

Setting: Present-day, probably at some public place that serves alcohol.

Point of View: Third person, omniscient.

Art!

Because true creative minds cannot be tied to one medium alone!

...That doesn't necessarily mean we're good at all of them, but still.

Some of you may be aware I have a deviantArt page, although I don't post much. I'm always more inspired to put things into words than pictures. Occasionally, though, a single moment or idea presents itself, and it cannot be hacked out on a computer keyboard. That, or it's something that really doesn't interest me that much, such as fluffy romantic pictures for certain Hetalia characters, so I'd rather sketch it out than try to construct a whole story of any length. And then sometimes I just feel more like drawing than writing.

I've already done a few posts on how connected music is to writing, but it is, of course, its own art form. I've humoured the idea of becoming a classical composer (or rock star, let's not lie), but I'm never really inspired to make music. I'll sing along to Fleetwood Mac or play "Crazy Train" on oboe, sure, and I'll often find myself humming a random, classical-style tune that I find catchy (usually this happens when I start adjusting a tune to something annoying that's stuck in my head and go way off on a tangent), but it's not the same as creating a story. It sounds pretty, and it can tell stories in some sense, but there are less specifics, more hinting, and less time to get through it all. It's kind of hard to describe my view on music because it's so many things to me—a background to writing, an inspiration to writing, a way to shift my focus away from a stressful situation, a means of worship, and sometimes just a means of amusement.

All I can say is, these mediums are different, as they should be, and can't serve quite the same purpose for the same person. Of course, they can be mixed, but that's another story altogether.

To conclude, here are a few random ideas that I want to draw but haven't yet. I may start posting these like I do Fragments, although they have little to do with writing and might not belong here.

    • A collage of anatomical sketches (e.g., nephrons, neurons, stratified squamous epithelial cells) overlaid with the text "I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE"
    • [fan art] A shipping picture featuring Russia and (OC) Antarctica with the title "To the Ends of the Earth"
    • Personifications of Mississippi and Alabama standing back-to-back
    • [fan art] A shot of a really, really battered WWII England with an almost crazed look of tenacity, the background being a particularly bad bombing of London
    • An American flag made by snippets of red, white, and blue portions of other nations' flags (with a few other colors so the other flags can still be identified)
    • Pairs of characters from The Long and Winding Road, including Emile brushing Monique's hair, Charlotte and Arthur back to back shooting down monsters, Jordan trying to teach Silas violin, and Martin joshing around with Manfred
    • Not exactly a drawing, but I'd love to make some chaotic war/battle scene with no sound but "Scarborough Fair"

New Fan Fiction Idea #15

This is an older idea that I more or less abandoned, but there's a tiny chance I could dust it off and try it. If you're particularly interested, let me know and I might let you write it.

Working Title: Disaster

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Horror/Tragedy

Protagonist: No one main character.

Other Main Characters: Includes at least Ukraine, Japan, and America. Should be quite a few more, though.

Antagonist: Different in every chapter; sometimes natural disasters, sometimes accidents, sometimes attackers.

Plot: Every chapter is centred on what the nation personification feels when a major disaster occurs on his or her soil. Earthquakes cause uncontrollable tremors, etc.

Setting: Each chapter occurs during a disaster, with a corresponding chapter title (such as 26 April 1986).

Point of View: Third person, limited to the subject of the chapter.

New Fan Fiction Idea #13

Working Title: What Would You Do

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Horror, and either Drama or Adventure

Length: Multichapter

Protagonist: Liechtenstein.

Other Main Characters: Italy and Monaco.

Antagonist: Unknown/Spoiler.

Plot: The main characters awake in three rooms, where it is revealed to them that their protectors' lives are at stake. No one else can enter the complex, and it is up to Liechtenstein, Italy, and Monaco to save Switzerland, Germany, and France. They are given weapons, pointed down the right tunnels, and left to fight their way to their protectors before it's too late.

Setting: A futuristic sort of complex, entirely indoors. Several tunnels emerge from three central rooms, and each tunnel diverges into its own series of dips, turns, and other rooms to end in a unique room. Several obstacles, including human adversaries, are set up along each path.

Point of View: Third person, limited to each protagonist but mostly Liechtenstein.

New Fan Fiction Idea #12

I was listening to "Send Me an Angel" on the radio when this started to form.

Working Title: Send Me an Angel

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Romance/Humour

Protagonist: "Rose" (Earth name), a fallen angel version of Nyotalia England.

Other Main Character: Feliciano (human Italy).

Antagonist: Modern life, falling in love, and probably Satan.

Plot: Feliciano's friends and brother are gone on business for a while, leaving him very lonely. Never quite able to adopt the same mindset as the other angels, Rose is rejected from Heaven without being given a solid reason (although she's at least glad she only went as far down as Earth). Rose has to deal with becoming human under the care of Feliciano, who first saw her come down. And romance happens. Hooray.

Setting: Human alternate-universe. Feliciano's home in Italy and its general area, modern-day.

Point of View: Third person, limited to different characters at appropriate times.

New Fan Fiction Idea #11

Another old idea I spontaneously remembered.

Working Title: "My Name Is Aragon"

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Romance/Tragedy

Length: Possibly a oneshot; could be a short multichapter if I choose to do research

Protagonist: Spain (as Aragon)

Other Main Character: Castile (female OC)

Antagonist: Er... Either Spain or fate.

Plot: Aragon and Castile have been in love for a while before they finally unite under the name Spain. But suddenly Castile isn't feeling too well—and by the time Aragon realizes his recent gain of strength when he's around her isn't just love, it may be already too late.

Setting: Historical; the unification of Aragon and Castile.

Point of View: Third person, limited to Spain.

New Fan Fiction Idea #10

An old idea I could possibly revive someday.

Working Title: My Cup of Tea

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Adventure/General

Length: Multichapter

Protagonist: England

Other Main Characters: The rest of the Allies, possibly Romano and Spain as well.

Antagonist: Usually America. Sometimes the others on the ship.

Plot: Drowning in dull, modern-day paperwork and politics, England wishes for his old pirate life a bit too fervently. The next time he wakes up, he and several others are aboard an old pirate ship with no land in sight and no way to contact anywhere else. The crew tries to survive storms, attacks, and each other as they search for land. Between dwindling rations and the nations slowly reverting to their 17th-century selves one by one, they'd better hurry.

Setting: A wooden pirate ship of some age but decent condition. Most of the story is in open ocean, although a few small islands and (if I'm nice to the crew) a final spot of land are also involved.

Point of View: Third person, omniscient or static.

Because I feel the need to demonstrate that England can, in fact, be awesome, despite the fact that I have a disturbing tendency to kill him off at every opportunity available.

That's not to say plenty of other people haven't written a pirate England fic, probably with a similar premise, but it could be one of those things that, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." And any story is going to be different under a different author, right?

New Fan Fiction Idea #9

Working Title: "England Ruins America's Life Forever"

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Humour, possibly Parody

Length: Oneshot

Protagonist: America.

Other Main Characters: England.
Inky, Blinky, Pinky, Clyde, and Pac-Man (in the game).
Japan is at least mentioned.

Antagonists: England.
Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde.

Plot: America is playing Pac-Man in a public place. England informs him that the game's antagonists are, indeed, ghosts.

Setting: 1980s arcade in America, so they can both have outrageous hair, just because.

Point of View: Third-person, limited to America.

Just a random thing. And an excuse to write about England with eighties hair.

New Fan Fiction Idea #8

Working Title: Chibi Rental Services

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Humour/Friendship

Length: Multichapter, though I have no idea as to how long of one.

Protagonist: Antonio, a high school-aged human!Spain.

Other Main Characters: Lovino, a human!chibiRomano.
Arthur, a high school-aged human!England.
Alfred, a human!chibiAmerica.
Roderich, a high school-age human!Austria.
Feliciano, a human!Chibitalia.

Antagonist: Unknown. Probably things like boo-boos and spilt ice cream cones.

Plot: There exists an small, undercover organisation that is connected to a local orphanage. It allows unlucky-in-love students to "borrow" or play with an adorable, female-attracting orphan (who could really use a little time outside) for a day, after paying a fee. Sometimes pretending to have a little brother for a day works... And sometimes it doesn't. And sometimes the customer doesn't want to let go of the little thing once the day is up.

Setting: Modern-day America, in a small city. It has a nice high school and a fairly popular and well-kept park.

Point of View: Third-person limited, switching between the students and possibly a worker at the organization.

It's still sort of in its barest bones, but I sort of want to try fleshing it out some. I think this would actually turn out pretty short, though it's too early for me to say so with any degree of certainty.

New Fiction Idea #20

Look, something else that started as a Hetalia fan fiction! This one's actually fairly old, but I'm excited that I suddenly remembered it.

Working Title: Figments

Genre: Horror

Protagonist: Malcolm, a freshman Business major who's extremely sarcastic. He's rather thin and self-conscious about it, with short, brown hair and pale green eyes. He has always had the ability to see and interact with ghosts.

Other Main Characters: Corey, a freshman Art major who's been Malcolm's neighbour and best friend for years. He has shaggy-ish blonde hair and ambiguously-coloured eyes. Friendly but a bit squirrelly at times, he's terribly afraid of ghosts (to Malcolm's annoyance) despite being unable to really see them.
Darrell, a sophomore Biology major (aiming to be a physical therapist) who's intentionally annoying quite often but is generally likeable. He's a dark umber, with a good build.
Crystal, a sophomore Nursing major who's been Darrell's girlfriend for about three months. She's a good few shades lighter than him and keeps her hair in a low, short ponytail of braids. She's not that comfortable around other people, but she's working on it.

Antagonists: A group of ghosts, of overall ebony coloration, with rather long claw-like fingers. Their faces are mannequin-like, smoothed-out and without mouth or eyes, but they are still able to speak. To Malcolm's confusion, they are perfectly visible to everyone. They float, their forms fragmenting away about where mid-thigh would be. They feed on sanity to avoid a second death that would send them at last to Hell.

Setting: An old, rickety, bed-and-breakfast kind of building about a ten-minute drive from the local university. It's abandoned and rumoured (correctly) to be haunted.

Plot: As a sort of initiation ritual into a fraternity, Malcolm, Corey, and Darrell are "dared" to stay in the haunted house the week before school. Crystal tags along for moral support. They are not informed that no one has remained the whole time yet and they're not actually expected to last more than a day. But as the ghosts appear on and off and the group of students find themselves slipping from reality, it's up to Malcolm to keep them from losing all hope of recovery.

Point of View: First person (Malcolm).

I might default it back to fan fiction, but I kind of like how Malcolm (whose name could change) is turning out so far.

New Fan Fiction Idea #6

Working Title: +Anima

Fandom: +Anima/Hetalia: Axis Powers crossover
Genre Tags: Adventure/Friendship
Length: Multichapter, about as long as a novelisation of +Anima.
Protagonist: Italy as Cooro.
Other Main Characters: England/"Bushy" as Myrrha/"Husky".
Sweden as Senri.
Belgium as Nana.
Antagonist: Germany as Igneous.
Spain as Fly.

Plot: A retelling of +Anima, with the above cast (as well as substitutions for more minor characters) and whatever changes they require.
Setting: Same as the original manga.

Point of View: Third-person, omniscient.

I'm still debating the naming. I may do country names or human names, though probably not the original +Anima names.

The description is so sparse because it's quite close to the original and is really more of a casting issue. There are some differences—for example, England ends up in Astarian waters because his ship was attacked by pirates, rather than Husky being left to drown and escaping the capital through waterways.

New Fan Fiction Idea #3 Revisited

A mini-excerpt of my Hetalia rock band AU dying to be written. I feel like it might make a good opening, even if the fiction is supposed to be the whole story of the band's life.

Note that, since I doubt I'm going to write this in the first place, this isn't exactly my finest writing. It was just one little part that had enough to it to flesh out.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Yao sneaked a peek into the burgeoning crowd before pulling his head backstage. To be honest, the stage was better-looking—or at least better-prepared—than the scene around him.

"Where is everyone?" he started, eyeing the two others with him.

Alfred leaned back against the wall, shrugging. "Well, Arthur's flying with the fairies."

"Now?" Yao tried not to facepalm. "It's five minutes to the gig!"

"Eh." Alfred glanced in the direction of the dressing rooms. "He didn't snort that much. Just don't let him near a microphone and he should be okay."

Sighing, Yao crossed his arms, checking the backstage clock again. "And I'm going to assume Francis is spending some quality time with his fangirls."

"Ooh!" Ivan raised his hand, as if ready for the teacher to call on him. "I can go get rid of them if you want!"

"No way, dude!" Alfred took a great stride to  put himself between Ivan and the dressing room hallway. "The last time you tried to 'get rid of' fangirls, I had to call 911!"

Ivan pouted. "You didn't really have to. I was doing a good enough job on my own."

"I wasn't calling the cops, I was calling an ambulance!"

Ivan shrugged, while Yao sighed yet again.

"We'd better not be calling the cops, with everything that goes on with this band," the keyboardist muttered.

New Fan Fiction Idea #5

Working Title: The Loony Bin

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Drama/Angst

Length: Multichapter, at least one for each patient.

Protagonist: Alicia, a university freshman of average build with dark hair in a low ponytail. She's an introvert who enjoys solitude as much as hanging out with her friends, she takes schoolwork seriously, and she's very easily affected by "the evils of the world," as it were.

Other Main Characters: Alfred, the bulimic patient. Sophomore-age university student who's quite cheerful unless the situation has anything to do with food or he thinks someone is calling him fat. This would be an absurd thing for someone to call him, of course, although I'm still debating whether he should be a "classic" bulimic or one that "purges" through obsessive exercise. Either way, he had a great American football scholarship before his situation got bad.
Ludwig, the obsessive-compulsive patient. Mid-twenties, he usually refuses to leave his room, nor does he often let others in. He is friends with Feliciano, when he's Feliciano. He has a good heart, but his situation makes it difficult for him to do much for others.
Feliciano/Romano, the dissociative identity patient. Feliciano is very cheerful and a bit passive, while Romano is intolerably uncooperative and hateful. Generally, he switches his hair part when transitioning between identities. He would probably be able to function decently in society if he didn't have such terrible memory issues.
Arthur, the major depressive patient. The officials at the asylum have gone to... rather extreme measures to prevent him from killing himself. He rarely interacts with others; on those occasions, he does so acrimoniously. He very rarely shows a glimpse of any positive emotion.
Raivis, the paranoid schizophrenic patient. He will interact with others if they're nice enough, though not without harbouring suspicions. He will, however, push all others away when he has hallucinations of his torturer, and, if he thinks they are his torturer, he may do so violently. He's normally very quiet but can be cheerful.
Ivan, the antisocial patient. He's very excited to interact with others but rarely has the opportunity as he always tries to maim them somehow. He is not allowed anywhere near Raivis no matter his mood.
Francis, the narcissistic patient. As he manages to hit on Alicia enough within a few seconds for her to flee, he doesn't get much screen time. He's really quite pleasant normally, but if he decides someone is attractive enough and they don't reciprocate, he gets violent. He also doesn't take affronts to his appearance or cooking, but rarely do those crop up.
Kiku, the schizophrenic patient. He doesn't talk much, nor does he express emotion. In his world, he is vanquishing evil spirits. He does so with an authentic katana that somehow has not been taken from him.
Eduard, the manager of the asylum. He's very calm and a bit numb to the chaos. He just does his best to help the patients in what little ways he's able.

Antagonist: Sometimes the patients, sometimes Eduard when he doesn't have quite the right idea as to what is most helpful for a patient. Otherwise, lack of funding is a huge setback.

Setting: A typical university city, though I'm not entirely sure where. The main factor is that this particular asylum is a private one, poorly-funded, and the only one in a convenient radius.

Plot: For a psychology project with few guidelines, Alicia decides to interview the staff of the little asylum/institute she stumbled across one day. She ends up trying to communicate with the patients as well and forming some bonds. But there are some things seriously wrong with this place, and she has to decide if she can handle taking it upon herself to change them.

Point of View: Third-person, omniscient.

I got this idea some time ago, but I doubt I would be willing to do the research involved. All of my knowledge is from my one term of general psychology, which doesn't bode well for a dark disorder-oriented fiction. Although I could always look up things on Wikipedia. [is killed by every teacher ever]

Also, I like the discord between the title and the actual fiction, but I'm not sure if it would really work that well.

New Fan Fiction Idea #4

One of those ideas I've had for a while but keep forgetting to put down.

Working Title: When Fangirls Attack

Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers

Genre Tags: Humour/Parody, or Romance/Parody

Length: Multichapter

Protagonist: England

Antagonist: Hordes of fangirls

Setting: Modern day, mostly in the vicinity of England's house.

Plot: England is feeling unloved one day and decides the best remedy is to summon his fangirls. Unfortunately, he slips up a bit in the spell, and hordes of fangirls for several nations (somehow also provided with shirts in the image of the flag of their preferred nations) appear. Now England has to stop them from mobbing their beloved ones, starting fan wars, and, most of all, ordering him to make out with nations he'd really rather not.

Point of View: Third person, limited to England.

It's basically a merciless satire of yaoi fangirls, with some prodding at us "normal" fangirls as well.
